Jacob's on the move!!!

Jacob has really taken off today. He has been taking more and more steps within the last few days, but today he is officially walking on his own. Practically running I might add. We are really proud but don't quite know what we are in for :)

They named him by combining their names.

13 months old!!!

Jacob turned 13 months old today!!! And we are happy to say that he started to walk again a couple of days ago. He was actually showing off for the girls. Katherine and Averi (our nieces) are here from Ohio for a couple of weeks. It's just been so wonderful to have them here. Grandma Marjorie is here as well. Jacob just loves a full house of women and so do I. He is such a big boy now. He has been imitating a lot of gross motor actions and sounds. Recently he has been approximating "juice." In addition, when he sees the cat he says "meow" which is so stinking cute. Aside from that his sign language skills are greatly improving. He knows more, all done, music, milk, go, open, eat, help, and he has invented his own sign for happy-- I have to get that on video! Jacob has been fascinated with the humidifier lately, especially because he can turn it on and off and control the cool steam. He has been charming his way into the girls' good graces and taking their cell phones. Then, he calls "dada...dada...dada..da..ba...ba" a thousand times a day. He enjoys being outside and riding in his car. He loves water so we have been going to the sprinklers. We have been spending a lot of time at the Castle Island, Wallaston Beach, and various parks as well. Jacob just started to be a picky eater. He learned how to spit out food and watch out if he doesn't like something. He loves-- veggie dogs and cookies. I have been very creative to squeeze in some veggies in his diet. Another month went by so fast! We are having lots and lots of fun this summer. Stay tuned for more adventures from the Albrecht household.
