I have neglected our blog for a month now... so I will slowly try to update as we go along. Jacob turned 14 months old today!!! He is walking and standing up all on his own now. One of his favorite toys now is the lawn mower which he drags all over the place. Jacob is a lot more vocal these days. He says mama, dada, bye, no, go, ball, spadlo (in Polish means fell down) very nicely and approximates baba for babcia (grandma), wawa for water (woda), daj juice (give me juice), lala (for Elmo), mo for more, dado for dziadzio (gradpa), Au for Adrianek, bi for bird, bup for up, bop for stop, and is able to make "ooo aaa" sounds for monkey (malpka) , "meow" for the kitty (kot), "how, how" for the dog (pies) (its a Polish version), "baba" for sheep (owca), "mooo" for the cow (krowa) and he clicks his tongue for the giraffe (zyrafa). Its sooo stinking cute. He is such a big boy now. Jacob weighs 24 lbs, the last time we have been to the doctor. He has been sick for the past few days-- a couple of weekends ago he had a very high fever (103.9) which scared us a lot and a diagnosis of a double ear infection. He has finished his bottle of antibiotics and we have to see if the ears are improving. Poor guy. Needless to say we've had a few sleepless nights. Other than that we are making the best of the summer days.
What's up with August? We started this month off with lots of visits to the hospital. Babcia had back surgery and we are happy to say that it went well. She is home now recovering slowly but nicely. We have been spending a lot of time with babcia, dziadzio, Izabell, and Adrian. Jacob just loves going over there and having fun with the kids. The weather has been very nice and we have been out and about. We have had two Birthday Celebrations in the month of August-- Daddy and Gram (very low key this year). We get together with Matthew and Thomas every week and have lots of small and big adventures. I have been taking lots and lots of pictures-- just have to sort through them and post them on this blog.
