Adventurous Monday and Tuesday

MONDAY
After a good night of rest we (Scottie, my parents, Jacob, and I) went out for a wonderful and totally glutenous Monday morning breakfast. After a quick change into our swimmies we enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi all morning and the afternoon.

~We've had beautiful weather thus far~
~Everyone was so full after breakfast that they did not have any room for lunch-- except Jacob and I who are always hungry for more~
~Kuba and Dziadzio~
We rested a couple of hours in our rooms, refreshed we got ready to go out to dinner. First we had to catch the beautiful sunset.
~Sunset at the Turtle Bay Resort~ ~Kuba was very busy collecting coconuts and hiding them in his secret spot~~Surfer catching the waves and the sunset~

TUESDAY
We got up at 7 a.m. this morning and after a very small breakfast (coffee, tea and pastries) we went for a nice stroll around the resort. Then we spent the morning and afternoon at the beach.
~We are so happy that my parents are here! Kuba just loves to be around them and we can do more adventurous things.
Here we are snorkeling ~ ~We had a nice lunch at the Ola restaurant at the beach. Jacob was very tired and going a little nutty so we went to the room to rest. Scottie and Dad went to buy squid and other guts and gone fishing for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Scottie caught a fish!!! ~
They met us in a restaurant for dinner
~Jacob was dancing and walking up and down the stairs. He learned how to do "na zdrowie" (cheers) with his cup of juice~
It is amazing how much Jacob is talking right now. Today at the beach he overheard me saying "hi honey" to Scottie and he was repeating it all afternoon. When we sing the 'ABC' song Jacob can fill in "c,d,g,j,p,s,v,x,z" very clearly when we pause in the appropriate places. He remembers books that we read. For example when I said "I wish the moon was made of..." he follows by
saying "cheese." He loves music and will sing and dance all day long. He can be bossy at times saying "no no mommy", "clean up", "moje" (mine). I have mentioned his beloved Turtle that goes wherever Jacob goes... Well. He pulled the turtle around so much that he got a big blister on his hand which popped and left some loose skin. When he noticed the blister -- he started to hysterically cry. The only thing that made it better is the miracle Desitin cream (I recommend it for all skin related aliments). Now he points to all sorts of "boo boo" (s) on his hands, knees, and head.

Aloha Babcia and Dziadzio!

I was pretty freak out when I spotted a gigantic bug running around our room. I screeched for Scottie to "kill it." It was not a bug after all but a small Gecko lizard. Scottie caught it in a glass and showed it to Jacob, who exclaimed "baby Dino." He was so thrilled that Daddy had a baby dinosaur in the glass. They released the Gecko (a.k.a. baby Dino) on our balcony and he ran away.
~Baby Dino~~Jacob is saying goodbye to "baby Dino" ~

We had a very adventurous day today. My parents arrived to Hawaii at around 4:30 p.m. - we didn't get to the airport until 7:00 p.m. after leaving the hotel at 3:00 p.m. The main street Kamehameha Highway was closed due to flooding. We turned around so we could get to the airport on the other side. The road was closed as well due to flooding. So we were completely stuck for over 4 hrs. Ugh!!! Finally the highway opened and we were able to pick them up. Kuba was so excited to see Babcia and Dziadzio and we are so glad that they are here. I will post some flood pics tomorrow. We actually walked about a mile to see what was going on (because no one was disclosing any information). Walking back we were the information booth. In retrospect, we could have made a bit of $.

Turtle Bay Resort...again?

Yes!!! We left Waikiki Marriott Resort on Friday and headed for Ko'alina to the JW resort. When we arrived we have noticed a number of construction cranes right next to the resort. Apparently they are building a Disney time share. Needless to say it was very noisy; cranes, jack hammers, beeping trucks all day long. We were greeted by the most friendly fish (koi) that I have ever encountered. Jacob just loved them. That was the highlight of the hotel. Aside from the fish we were disappointed not only by the construction but also with the hotel appearance. So Scottie decided to work his magic (again!) and move us to the Turtle Bay Resort for the remainder of our trip. My parents are arriving tomorrow and will be staying at the same place. We are so happy!!! Here are the pics of the past few days. You will see what I am talking about.
