~Jacob playing with Mommy at Ola restaurant~
We went for dinner to Ola restaurant located at the beach. The food tasted as delicious as it looks. We just hadto snap a photo.
We have arrived in Hawaii couple of days ago with plenty of adventures. Our flight from Boston to Dallas was delayed due to maintenance. Actually a tiny peace of wing (the size of a quarter) was missing! We watched the maintenance crew take precise measurements of it, from the comfort of our seat. The flight was about 4 hrs long. Jacob was good as gold. We've brought plenty of toys to entertain him. Such as my bracelets, cups, balloon, cars, stickers...and lots and lots of snacks. Thank Goodness because we had no time to grab anything to eat because as soon as we got off the plane in Dallas we had to run take the train to our next terminal. We were the last people to board the plain to Hawaii. Oh and they made us check in our carry on luggage. The flight from Dallas to Hawaii was 8 hrs long. Again, Jacob was incredible. He ran up and down the isles, stopping and staring at chosen folks, played with toys, ate stacks, and slept. He had no melt downs which was fantastic. The only downside was that he was a bit sick and had the case of the runs throughout our trip. So needless to say we went a lot of times to the bathroom. I was patting myself in the back for over packing and bringing a plethora of diapers. Finally we arrived in Hawaii!!!! --- with no luggage. Yup! They lost all six of our items; the Bob stroller, car seat, two giant suitcases, and two carry-on suitcases (they arrived next day- TG). We rented an SUV and we were on our way to the Turtle Bay resort, stopping at Wendy's (we were starving) and as a result getting very lost. Finally an hr later we arrived at our destination. Jacob fell asleep in the car and we carried him to our room were he literally passed out. Hawaii is six hours behind (when it's 6 p.m. in Hawaii, it's 12 a.m. in Boston), therefore for the last few nights we have been adjusting to the time change. Actually we are running on Jacob's time. He woke up Friday night and Saturday night at 3 a.m. ready to go. If you think about it in terms of Boston's time (9 a.m)-- he actually slept in. So we played and watched Elmo on the computer. A couple of hrs later he was ready to return to sleep. We have spent the past two days enjoying our resort, swimming in the pool, going to the beach, visiting restaurants, and stocking up on food in the local grocery store. The food prices are triple the amount they are in Boston, yet they are much cheaper than the hotel rooms. We look forward to many more adventures. We are taking lots of pictures and i will post them soon.
