Jacob is 16 months old today!!! He is acquiring more and more language each day. Lately he loves "patty cake patty cake" and will say patty, roll, baby, and me. He also finishes the words to a lot of songs, such as "goodnight sweetheart its time to go" (his bedtime song), "twinkle, twinkle", "wheels on the bus", as well as, he has memorised the word endings to some of his favorite books. When you say "and the ancient world loves the.." he will finish by saying "dino" for dinosaur. It's just fantastic to see him grow. Jacob also knows how to count to five. Yup! not kidding. He knows he has five toes (his favorite body part). When asked "how old are you?" he will reply "one". He can be shy at times around strangers, however, this trip is actually breaking him out of his shell. He is meeting new friends everyday and saying "hi" and "bye" to people around him. We are celebrating his month-birthday in Wakiki. I think at times he misses home. Why? A few nights ago he woke up in the morning and started saying "bye Nanny", "bye Julie," "bye baba," "bye dziadzio," "bye Ia" (for Iza), "bye Au" (for Adrian), "bye ciocia"...etc. He named everyone that he missed. I am so glad that my parents are comming next week and we can spent some time together.
