We had another wonderful day. Jacob woke up at about 4 a.m but fell asleep again in our bed until 7 a.m. We got up very quickly and went to Starbucks for a coffee, tea, a blueberry muffin and a smoothie (Jacob's favorite morning treat). We had an interesting conversation with a guy (who had a seeing eye dog) about the lucrative e-bay business, delicious Hawaiian spam, and Hawaii real estate. Despite the fact that we spilled an entire cup of coffee on the guy, he continued with his fantastic teals. We went for a walk and returned to the room for Jacob's morning nap. During the afternoon we went to a local park and shortly thereafter to the Marriott's pool. We had lunch at the pool area. Jacob was super hungry and ate an entire hot dog, some french fries, a cup of fruit, and a cookie. Yup! I guess hunger is a good sauce for a picky eater. The rest of the time we were busy swimming and splashing in the pool. Jacob was very friendly and said "hi" to every kid that was in the water. He was splashing when they splashed, yelling when they yelled, and tried to initiate play by throwing them his awesome Elmo ball. We had so much fun that we had forgotten what time it was. Poor little guy was overtired and threw a big tamper tantrum about nothing. So we had to wrap it up and go to the room for a second nap. Once Jacob woke up happy and smiling we got dressed and went on the town, had dinner at the Cheesecake factory (no luck with the crab cakes tonight), and aimlessly looked for a fish tank that we had remembered from our first trip to Hawaii. (Come to find out that the gigantic fish tank was destroyed by new owners of the building. In its place they placed a Duty Free shop. Very disappointing. But at least I have not lost my mind completely). Tomorrow we are going to the Aquarium!!!
